Stuttering

My car stutters from 1000 to 1500 RPM, and it's pretty annoying since that's where my car is for 20-25 mph driving (through my neighborhood). Car runs fine after 1500rpm and before 1000rpm. Stuttering happens while daily driving under light throttle, and under a little more aggressive driving. Any suggestions?

the TPS and IAC are both brand new. I haven't checked for vacuum leaks yet. Any tricks of the trade for this? I've heard to take a cigarette and let the smoke drift over the engine and look to see if it gets sucked in anywhere.

that's also a good way to find out if you've got gas leaking badly around the carb or runners

I've never used a vacuum gage. Where would you hook it upto? just any vacuum port? I'll pick one up from Autozone over the weekend. What indication should I expect?

It seems that I forgot to plug in the vacuum sensor for the ECU one of the times that I had to remove my valve covers. I noticed this today, plugged it in, and now my troubles with stuttering seem to have disappeared.

Isn't it amazing how many times we are our own worst enemy. I've been there, done that too. More than I care to admit here anyway

Glad you got it fixed.
