Intake power range, based on what engine size?
When a manifold has a power rating of, for instance, idle to 6500, what engine size is this based on? The amount of air a 350 pulls in at 6500 would see a 283 up to 8000rpm. My lil 283 sees peak power at 6800 (according to dd2000) and I really don't know what manifold would have the right range. I'm not looking for torque (I have a big block '73 camaro for that sort of thing, I want this engine to have totally different character) but I want a manifold that has the appropriate power range.
Any advice appriciated.

Take all manufactures power range ratings with a grain of salt. They may say 3000-6000 or idle-7200 (I think is the weind excellerator). The problem is, they dont give any numbers. It could lose 20% under 3000 but still qualify to be rated that way, by thier standards. Try to match the intake to the engine, but realize that the manufacturers ratings are merely a generalization, or a guideline.
