Dent in Oil Pan

I have a pretty large dent in my oil pan and it's bad because the crankshaft is hitting it as it turn. If I keep cranking my car while it's like this, what the worst that could happen? Also, what is the best way to change an oil pan? I have an 89 Formula 350 TPI.

Best way to take it off is to undo the motor mounts and jack the engine up a few inches.

Dents aren't too hard to fix. All you need is a hard, flat surface and a BFH.
