Head gasket question..

I have heard of head gaskets that raise compresion ratios. I know TPIS offers them but I don't know of anyone else. They advertise, "This gasket is equivalent to milling the block .010", without having to disassemble the motor. It will give you about a 10 ft/lb gain, and an extra 10 HP." Has anyone used them or know anything about them? Is this BS? Just wondering.

the thinner the gasket the higher the compression. fel pro among others makes head gaskets in differant thicknesses. i wouldn't bother swapping head gaskets for the small gain you'll have. i doubt you'd even be able to feel it with a butt seat dyno.

Thats what I figured. I mean if you tear into the engine that far, why not just go ahead and slap a new set of heads on the thing anyway? Thank you for the reply.
