I do!!! Though I have not had the motor on a dyno, I did the carcraft 305 build up that they came up with 325hp. I changed a few things plus a roller motor and I hope to top the 335hp mark.

It's no TPI, but my L69 305 can make the quarter to the tune of 14.04 at nearly 101MPH. For a 3550 pound car, that's about 285 horsepower.

I did 16 passes at the CamaroZ28.com M5 event this last October in Stanton, Michigan, of which 6 were above 100 MPH, and the remaining were 99MPH+.

I spent about $800 on the top-end of the engine, and left the shortblock alone, except for a minor change to the flycut on each piston. I ported my own 305 heads ('88 Centerbolt heads with broached valve guides), added a modified Edelbrock Performer manifold, Comp cams Xtreme Energy cam with new lifters, pushrods, roller-tipped Magnum 1.52 ratio rockers, and Comp Cams valvesprings, which I set up myself. The intake valve was enlarged to 1.94 inches, and the combustion chamber modified to unshroud the valve.

WS6,

Thanks for proving my point. Everyone is always praising the World S/R, Dart, and Edelbrock heads, when I have been harping on the fact that a good porting job on factory heads can do as well or better. the same goes for the valve enlargement that some people say cannot be done.

How many World S/R equipped 305s are doing that well? At full weight? And how much did they spend?

How much does it usually cost to get heads ported and polished...including removal and re-installation? I would like to do this to my 305. I decided I'd like to keep the 305 so that I can suprise people with the fact that the car has a 305 in it. (It's a 1980 California Corvette.)
