Worried about hydrolock

Hey guys, well I was in the process of doing my header install. Since I live in the panhandle of Florida, I am currently being graced with the presence of Mathew and all the rain that goes along with that. I had gotten all my plugs removed, and the driver's side manifold off by friday night. I decided to stick some rags in the exhuast ports just in case, and thought I"d be safe. Well I was just thinking about 5 minutes ago, that there is nothing to keep moisture from getting into the plug holes. Now, my hood is securely closed and it's up on jack stands, but is there a way for the humidity in the air to get into the plug holes and cause a hydrolock problem? I know there's no actual water getting into the holes, but should this be a concern, and if so, what would be the best way to fix it?

Its probably ok if the hood was closed, but I'd just crank it over a few times with the plugs out to push out anything that might have gotten in.

Matthew has two t's.

Humidity won't hurt anything for no longer than you'll have it apart.

Welp, I've had it apart for two days now with nonestop rain, and that's why I was a bit worried with it.

Shouldn't be a problem unless the engine was sumberged under water. simple humidity in the air won't be an issue.

Like was mentioned, you can always turn it over a few revolutions with the starter and all the plugs out just for peace of mind. That will blow any accumulation out the plug holes.

Hydrolock is not a concern at all here. Water should not be able to pass any closed exhaust valves. And the valves that are open would have the cylinders at or near TDC. Not enough water could get in to cause a hydrolock problem.

Besides, this is condensation we're talking here...

Marc, he said he had the spark plug holes open at the time. I think this is what he was most worried about.

Exhaust valves are open from Before Top Dead Center to After Bottom Dead Center.

Exactly. I have shop rags in the exhuast ports so that's not what I was worried about. Thanks for any opinions though. I think when I get the headers on I'm just gonna leave the plugs out and crank it a couple times just to make sure. Then, after that, it'd be the perfect opportunity to do a compression test on all cylinders.
