L98 and LB9 cams, same or different?

L98 and LB9 cams, same or different?

I can't really find the answer anywhere so i hope someone can set me straight...i heard the L98 cam is the same as the Lb9 5spd cam and the Lb9 auto came with a different cam...any truth to this?...thanks guys

Yes you are right the lb9 manual got the same cam as the l98 did. Yes the lb9 auto got shafted with a cam commonly refered to as the peanut cam. Thus the reason I have an LT1 cam in my car now. I'm am almost a sec faster.

It depends on the year as well. The best way to know is to check the cam lift.

Have you tried the 1.6:1 roller rockers yet? I seem to recall a thread with that possibility.

I see by your sig that the drag radials did very well for the times. Not bad for stock injectors and plenum, and a factory PROM. I smell a low-14 on the way...

new, your Times are very Close to mine w/ Lg4 + Comp 262H.

The Drag radials Gave you Three tenths ? how High Were you Launching ?
