Rapid Fire VS Bosch platinum. WHich is more suitable for the TPI

See sig below, Anywho, which spark plug is compatable with my worked 305 TPI, On back of the ACDELCO box it says "RAPID FIRE PERFORMANCE PLATINUM'S elctrode system. I thought platinum was bad for nitrous. Basically, what im asking is FOr crying out loud which spark plug is both compatible with a naturally aspirated motor and nitrous.

Neither, just run regualar AC plugs and you'll be fine. Platinum plugs are bad in any performace application becuase the platinum has the tendency to retain more heat, thus causing a hot spot that is more rpone to detination. The rapidfires are even worse, not only are they platinum tipped, but they also cost way too much money with no real value over a conventional plug.

I will be changing my plugs back to stock delco plugs. A friend of mine worked at the local gm dealership, and the master tec told him that 99% of the cars on the road would run better with the stock gm plugs. I have also been told this by the master tec at the pontiac dealership. If 2 different master tecs say that it is good enough for me.

I've never been happier than I am with the AC Delco rapid fires, they are the best plugs you can put in a GM car or truck. I learned in my auto mech class you are only supposed to use stock style plugs in your car. And AC/Delco is what came stock in the cars, so go with them!

I thought of that but i was told that platinum's were bad for cars using nitrous, And i need a set of plugs thats good enough to drive in the street naturally aspirated and still in great use when i use the nitrous on weekends.

run something in the AC R41TS - R43TS range (lower number is colder) and stop worrying about gimmick plugs. A properly tuned engine will gain nothing with a gimmick plug, hell, even a poorly tuned engine has little to gain from rapidfires.

Another vote for the old plain jane AC Delco's. The only other plug I've had good luck with is Champion Truck plugs--no gimmick electrode or anything, just a tough plug. I haven't had good luck with Champions in the past, but these were a gift 5 years ago Christmas and still work and look like new.

Well, just to be different, I run the bosh +4's why? Well, at first, I got an MSD ignition system that means that below 3000 RPM I will have several sparks fired. I believed that surly later I could find proof that this would burn more gas in the cylinder=more power/better economy. Then combined w/ a +4 the sparks have a chance of going to different electrodes, again, maximizing gas burned. The truth unless someone out there can prove me wrong, is that there has been little to no research done into flame front calculations. The closest thing to trying to optimize the explosion was the hemi engines which attempted to chape the charge reflecing more off the head, and back down onto the piston. Judging by the power these things produced, I would say chrysler was dead on, hell, they basically got kicked out of nascar for the engine! (rules made that basically made hemi engines not allowed in nascar). However, there is no proof. So I am going to just keep on running my +4's until I personally get a chance to tinker w/ all sortsa different plugs on a dyno. However my little MSD->+4 theory suits me just fine.
Now if I can just get around to setting my timing....

I am using the regular Bosch Platinums because they are shorter than stock and with headers it makes it easier on the spark plug boots. Just wondering if AC Delco makes a shorter plug in the stock heat range?
