We've lost another thirdgen!

I know this is not tech, but I just got back from the hospital and had to announce the news. My thirdgen is gone. I can't believe I'm never going to drive it again. My first and only car. I've spent every hour of my spare time on it for the past six years. I have to stop now. Just don't even want to talk about it. Maybe tomorrow. Then I'm going to try to go take a look and see exactly what I can salvage. Well, at least I've still got my health (but my nose is broken, my knees hurt, and my chest aches). I just want my car back! I have to go cry now.

It makes me sick to see F-bodies smashed up or rusted out. At least you have insurance, right? Get a 4th gen

It's probably feeling a lot like a death in the family right now.
The hard truth is that thirdgen's are common, so replace it.
Dr. AntiChrist prescribes listening to "Ballad of Old Betsy" by the Beach Boys a few times, and saying goodbye.
Oh yeah, and keep some symbolic part from it, too.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did your seat belts fail? Nose, knees and chest, ouch! Sounds like a meeting with the steering wheel and dash. Glad you are okay and live to build another car.

Count yourself lucky, the tables could be reversed. You car could be fixable and you could be heading for the scrape yard!

The car can be replaced, even though it sucks....

I know how you feel man. I totalled a 92 camaro that I had owned less than a month. I had just made the first payment on Friday, wrecked on Saturday. I really loved that car and I felt like crap for wrecking it, but **** happens.

If you can, take your time and find another car (F-body) that you really like and drop your money on it. I got really lucky and found a 91 tpi Trans Am convertible which replaced the tbi rs I totalled. I'll tell you another thing that rs saved my *** . If I would have been in my 79 camaro it would have been over. Just remember that a car is always replaceable.
