ok - thread sealant again...

well i went out looking for that pro-lock stuff. no joy. no pst, either... went to three different stores and all they had that came closest was that permatex thread sealer with teflon. good enough? i can't believe i can't find any of that other stuff. gonna be putting the heads on tomorrow, so gotta get something in the morning... thanks, sorry to beat a dead horse...

that's what my machinist told me, too - where do you get it? auto parts stores, too? i looked, but didn't see it, either.

Try a machine shop. They prolly have a bunch they could sell you, or would at least know where you could get some.

Permatex w/ teflon wouldn't work? I know that's what I used on my water pump bolts and it worked great..

any tefelon sealer would work as would any pipe thread sealer as well as non hardening permatex.
