Simple Spark Plug Wire Question
When I put my headers on I put a set of those accel 8mm supression core spark plug wires on (the basic yellow ones). I got the ones intended for the LO3 problem is they have striaghts that eventually burned on the headers. What would you guys recommend for a 90º spark plug wire set under $40?

I ran 8mm taylor wires for 2 yrs on my 355 and liked the things...only gripe is the boot is too dam big. It's nice for helping thwart off arching issues, but with my old Heddman LT headers I had a few boots that had no choice but to hit the header tube-they're that fat.
other than that they worked really good. I like my current 8.8mm MSD's, but they're $90

If you're looking for a pre cut set that works with headers that have pipes that all go downward, the MSD truck type for late 80s full size sbc works just right.
They have 90deg boots and the factory routing is around the rear of the valve covers and then follows the valve covers along the side.

Beside Accel, will I be able to get any of these locally though ordering at a parts place?

I just put a set of the accel 300+ 8.8mm wires on my L03 that I am real happy with. They have very low resistance and can take +500F temp. I first bought the custom fit style, but two of the plug boots had straights. With my headers, I need all 90's. Returned them for the Universal fit style with all 90's. The spark plug ends come already crimped on, but you have to crimp on the distributor end terminals, which turned out to be real easy. In the end I was glad I went this route since I was able to perfectly fit each wire with no extra length to deal with. Price was about $65.
