Car won't start? HELP!

I have an 89 Firebird Formula 350 TPI Auto. This happend to me once before. When I put the key in the ignition and turned it to start it, all the gauges lit up, radio came on, gauges worked, temp went up, but it didn't start. It was just just silent, no clicking or anything when turning the key. What could this be? I already replaced the started and solenoids and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

i had that problem and after checking everything else i found it was just a loose connection in steering column. if you have tilt steering wheel try lowering it all the way then turn key. that would get mine started until i could fix.

1 word -- ground

check the ground at your steering column (this one controls your ignition for your key, and if no ground then it wont work... like the person who had the tilt steering column problem... he'd have to lower the column to get the ground to touch).

check the ground at your starter

check the ground on the block (it's the smog pump for LG4's atleast, not sure bout serpentine one.... just follow the negative cable to the block and chassis).

Check those and if it still doesnt work then look at fusable links.
