besides telling the second fan when to turn on, whats the deal with the coolant temp sensor located ont he passenger side near the last two spark plugs on the block? my wire burned in half on the header and my car is running fine, temp gauge still works and the primary fan still comes on.

Yep, that's the 2nd fan control switch.

 

Your primary is run by the computer.I would replace it with a switch that turns them on at 200.

Yes, you have a choice. Hypertech and a few others offer a low temp fan control switch. I got mine from Summit since none of the local parts shops had anything like that in stock. A speed shop might, but not a parts house like Autozone, etc.

its funny I've had this thing for about 2 1/2 years and this is the first time I really looked at it I bought it cause I have the thermo chip
