Help! 350 TPI Bugs, timing and valves.
Hi guys
Finally i put my 350 in and it worked great for about 2 days. I need to set the timing but have no idea how. I had to use the 305 balancer but am going to change it soon. i also used the 305 knock sensor with no problems. The questions I have are: I set at 0 top dead center but when I read the timing now it says 8???? Also how often do I have to set my valves before they won't need to be adjusted again? what is the proper way to set them? I made 2 passes at the tarck last weekend 14.69 @ 95 mph on the brakes I figure it would have run 14.4 or 5's. I need new wires now though.

Transmission: All 700r4's
As far as i know if you have a Hyd cam then you only need to adjust the valves once. However you really need the 350 Knock sensor before you go too deep in the timing.

I have a 2040 Crane compu-cam. Non roller.
I cross referenced the part number for the knock sensor for an 86 305 and an 86 350
as well as an 87 350 and they are the same part numbers????????
