unidentified bracket

Can someone tell me what this is, and where it goes?

Alternator bracket.. it goes on the back of the alternator where the long bolt goes through the alternator, then through the long spacer on that bracket and into the head.

the other end bolts to the back of the alternator.

I don't know if it's used for serpantine setups, but I had one on my V-Belt setup.

i've got a vbelt setup as well....
do you by chance have a pic of this bracket in use?
i thought it went in back, but couldn't see where the whole thing went

My car is torn down at the moment, I can only basically tell you where it went as I did above, If no one else has a pic, I will dig out my alternator and take a picture, but it won't be until tomorrow or the next day.

the air pump is below that, if you look closely at the picture you can see that. RB posted a great picture, you can see where it goes, now the other end bolts on the back of the alternator...
