I am wanting to stroke a 91 305 block and i called powerhouse and they said that you could only stoke pre-86's nothing newer than that. i am just wondering if that is true or did the guy just want to go and eat his lunch faster. He said that there wasnt enough clearence in a 91 block???? can someone please help me before i go and spend 450 bux???

 

You can stroke a 91 block too, doesnt matter. IMO its a waste to stroke a 305. You spend 450 bucks (its actually going to be much more than that) plus machine work to make the crank clear the block and other fun stuff, and you have a 334 as a result. I can get 350 blocks all day long for less than 200 bucks that are useable, and theres no funny stuff to get another 16 cubes over a 305 stroker. If you really wanna do it, well its your money... but if you are looking for a performance increase and dont care whats under the hood, a 350 makes alot more sense.
