Dumped antifreeze put water in,now can runs hotter.wtf

Why is it running hotter,i put that stuff in to lubricate the water and make it so it doesn't corrode the block but all that's in there is water.,,why hot

It sounds like the water pump or thermosat is gone. There should be no reason for it to run hotter with just water unless its not totaly full of coolant.

Maybe you have air in the system.......
