87 305 main caps on an 89 350

87 305 main caps on an 89 350

can you put the main caps off of an 87 305 with a one piece seal onto an 89 350 with a one piece thanks

Yes but it will cost more in machine work then it would be just to find a new block.

yeah i just found the block and crank but would it be better just to convert the 2 bolt mains to a 4 bolt. i am only missing 3 caps on the 350

It would be better to find a complete block with correct matching caps. You could always convert to splayed 4-bolt($150 for caps), but theres more money for the caps. Its the same cost no matter what caps you use for machine work.

Driven on the street though it doesn't matter how many bolt caps you have.
