Should I Buy These Valve Springs?

I'm looking for some springs to work with a street solid roller cam.
The springs that are specified for the cam I have, are Comp #977.
But there are some deals on Ebay for used race springs which are apparently stronger than the Comp #977s specified.

Buying these used springs would save me $100, if they'd work for me.
Should I do it?

Heres the 977 spring specs you can match up something close.

Those springs will have way too much seat pressure, i'd find something else. Look at the installed height 2.0".

Those springs would definitely be overkill, by about 100lb, but from what I've been reading solid rollers can take as much pressure as a spring can dish out.
I'd have to use a longer valve and some offset retainers to get the 2.025" installed height, but I have to get some new valves and retainers anyhow.
Would those springs still be way too stiff?

I just looked up the Isky 9965s.
Pretty close to the ones I was looking at.

Stek...
What cam are you using those on?
Rev Kit?
Any other fancy stuff needed to make it work right?
With my combo, I don't expect to be seeing over 6800rpm.

Prolly wouldn't want to use factory rockers with those springs, Right?

Based on my experience, the 977 springs work well with a Solid Roller cam. Springs are an area that you do not want to skimp. Spend the money for the right springs and you will not regret it.

I am using an Isky custom grind, specs as follows:

Lift w/ 1.5 ratio: .548"/.557"
Adv. duration: 308/314
.050"Duration : 262/272
Lobe Center: 110
RPM Range: 3200-7500
Valve Lash: .028" Hot / .030" Cold

I do have a rav kit that I plan on using as well.

Maybe just me, but will all that spring pressure, I invested in some strong pushrods.

And no, don't think I would use factory rubberized rockers

I guess for me, the biggest thing is the installed height. Without getting crazy, the tallest valve I found was by Manley and was like .200" taller. That said, those valves took my to my desired installed. But again, I am building this for Gingerman (road course) use and will be revving higher. You could probably get away with a slightly lesser spring.
