Engine stalls after i stop...
Ok its been happening for a while now, its just gotton worse, and it usually goes away with a full tank of gas; however i have half a tank, and when i come to an abrupt stop, the car will studder, and about 35% of the time stall..
I know the problem is fuel, what could be the problem if it only happens after a stop?
And all you guy's funny post better not be posted, i ask the mods to delete those posts wrather then lock this thread.I need your guys' help, so please....

perhaps fuel pressure? Or wait, its easier just to come on here and expect people to fix it for you.
Have you checked your Knueter valve?

You guys are really bad.......
Definitely check the fuel pressure and filter, and see if it does the same thing at an idle if you rev it up and abruptly let off the gas.

on the older camaros and TAs they had non baffled gas tanks in them... and i know from experience of owning 3 like this that anything 1/4 tank of gas or under if you turn to sharp the engine will stumble for a sec or two because the gas is sloshing around int he tank due to not haveing baffles to stop this....
maybe you are haveing the same problem... because you say it doesnt do it when you have a full tank of gas...
have you ever tried to blow a donut with 1/4 tank of gas.... atleast in my car you cant do it unless you have atleast half a tank of gas again due to the older style gas tank....
i think this is your problem man..... to fix this about the only thing you can do is buy a newer gas tank for your car out of a newer model 3rd gen... im not sure what years got the baffled tank.... but this is def a big flaw that gm had in the older 3rd gens.... because it annoys the crap out of me when i want to take a corner real fast and the engine dies out for a sec because i have under a 1/4 tank of gas in it......
id be willing to say this is your problem.....
:lala: lol and you other guys are mean lol just help the kid out.... you guys dont have to rag on him all the time lol.....:lala:

i think the baffled tanks came in the 90-92 cars if i recall correctly ....
and this could be the problem but if i were to replace a tank in a thirdgen id go get a nice 4th gen tank and be done with it

It could also be that your fuel ga isn't as accurate as you give it credit for being, and your tank is actually down to 1/8 when it reads 1/2. Then when you stop or turn the fuel sloshes, and the pump picks up air dropping the fuel press to 0 instantly.
I had a car that did that any time the ga read below 1/2 tank, it was actually nearly empty.
Your splling is improving. Keep ip the good work and pretty soon you'll be ready to work on your car without putting your fingers in the alt fan.

Shane,
Is your car running rich? Better yet, if you rev the motor to about 3 grand for a few seconds and let you foot off the gas completely, do the rpm’s drop real low, like in the 350-400 rpm range, maybe even stall? If so, check your EGR connections and maybe the ERG itself.

Shane, when you say "abrupt stop", what do you mean? If you coast to a stop, it doesn't do this, yet if you go happy on the brakes, it wants to stall?
