when setting them while the car is running.You tighten them right to the point they stop tapping.Then how much more do you tighten them i heard 1/4 turn and a whole turn which is it?

I personally like to set them while not running, but to each his own

You can set them to anywhere between 1/4 and 1 1/2 turns...everybody that replies to this will most likely have a different spec that they like.

I set mine at 1/2 to 3/4.

what? you do it with the car running i did not know you could do this doesnt oil go every where?

 

Your new to cars are'nt you.You can do it with the car running or not running.Anybody that does'nt know that must be new to engine work.You learn something new eveyday.
