blower motor doesn't work sometimes
My blower motor has not been working correctly for awhile now. I replaced the switch and the resister. I also fixed the plug that connects the two red wires together since that burned up. When the blower motor is working it works correctly at all speeds but sometimes it won't work at all. What could the problem be??? Could it be the motor or is it in the wiring somewhere. Thanks in advance...this board is the best!!

Could be the motor. It could also be the connector that feeds battery (ignition actually) to the control head. It is the same style of connector as the one with the green and black wires in it, which can also cause the motor to quit working.

I followed your advice by doing a search and I checked the brown wire and the connector that is behind the HVAC controls. The connector is great. Now I'm stumped.

Check the one under the hood, probably not far from the one you looked at in the big red wire, that has the black and green wires in it. If that's OK, all that's left is the relay and the motor itself.
I've seen intermittnet motors before.

My 89RS with 193K on the stock blower motor is starting to do the same thing. Turn the switch and nothing, let it set or play a little bit and it starts working. It's probably the motor dying.
