Ok im lookin at a 91 z28 in nice condition for 4200 already has the v8-305 and the Manual tranny.
I have a 89rs with some money put in on the exterior
hood scopp
new right fender
hood pins
highrise z28 spoiler
trenz billet grille
bought the z06 rims
glasspack
AND finally PEARL white paint
well anyway down to it..
my car is a 2.8 v6 with a 700r4 thats sh!tty.. the drivetrain is just horrible
My Plans
-My 355 vortec thats being built 400+hp
-T56 trans
-new d/s
-4th gen rear-so my z06's mount good in the back/with hp no spacers brakeing if theres a chance.
what do you think i should do?.. do all this swap on this v6 and save money
buy this z28 for 4200 .. wait awhile.. and basically start all over drop the motor in that and t56 ect
id like to hear your thoughts rather then just the pole please.. i need to kno this now before i start any performance on the car

its just as much work with the z28, your not going to use the tpi setup, so everything needs to be rewired for the carb.
The only difference with the rs is replacing the motor mounts, rad, pedals and cutting a hole

from the sound of things in the car audio forum you are really serious about improving your car so i say keep it and continue on with your plan. you seem to really enjoy working on it, i.e. sub box/wall, so this will give you some more added fun time by yourself with your "dream" as i feel sometimes.

Keep your car, very nice looken.
be even nicer with the 355.
like an earlier post stated "doesnt make sense" when you got a clean RS to put a 355 in.
even tho u gotta find a 6 speed. But I think that 4200 will cover it without a doubt.
you can make that RS look like a Z28 anyway with aftermarket
body panels made from fiberglass.
If my thirdgen looked like the exterior of your car, I could devot all my cash into the drive train.
your lucky, sweet maro
