It plainly sucks if you are doing a uphill start.

But on decently level streets its not bad in an inch or two. Still a very difficult driver.

I have performance tires made for only dry/wet. I had to move the camaro out of the garage for 10 minutes because my dad had to get something. There was a about an inch in my driveway. Well lets just say some neighbors came over and grabbed the rear and started pushing

I don't know what it is but everyones car is different,Mine will not move,as soon as I let off the brake the tires start spinning.Other people say they do just fine.I can't even get mine outta the driveway.I took it to my mom's one day last year and all the streets were dry and her driveway had alittle snow but I figured I could do it,nope!Had to get a ride back to my house, get my 4runner and pull the t/a out to the street.I will never take it out in the snow again.

The torque of a 350, a manual trans, and 3.73 open rear don't work well in the snow, but its great fun!

I never get stuck though... because of my side exhaust LOL. The way it ended up 'dumping' out the side, it actually melts all the snow in front of the rear tires!

Subtlety. Got to love it.

Where is the option 'Drives like every other older rear wheel drive car in the snow'?

Before I had the 17" wheel/tire combo I drove my car in the snow with few problems. Large 275/50r15 tires with good tread, a Powertrax, some patience, and 10 50lb bags of sand in the trunk did wonders. I've even shuttled coworkers home when their FWDs wouldn't move. Having a low front chin spoiler and air dam helps a lot! And although driving around town was no problem, I could never make it up the driveway into the garage

Usually mine is marginal at best, and that's with brand new blizzaks and 4 bags of sand in the trunk.

All i have to do is let off the brake a bit, and it'll slide sideways into the curb. Thank *** for crappy rusted steel winter rims...

Don't forget wider tires don't help any either

Mine gets parked for winter, except the last time I parked it for the winter was 3 years ago and it's still parked, hopefully this spring, hopefully.....

Doesn't matter how fast I'm already going, it will bust the rear loose any time I want it too... hell, going down the highway at about 65mph on Christmas day to visit my grandparents, it was in top gear, I gave it a little shot of gas and the tail crept out on me... great fun

Mine and all other american enthusiast cars over here are parked for the winther. Guess this preserving of the vehicles is what's making them so costly.

Mine has never been driven in snow, intentionally, but last year it came early, and it was hell! It went sideways all the time. In the parking lot I had to get 3 guys pushing the rear as it wanted to smash into other parked cars.

I don't want it to rust, so I keep it garaged. I have a vw vanagon camper/beater/mover/construction/garbage-hauler/people carrier wich I'm using. It's cool in the wither driving something you're not afraid could get damaged. And it has real wheel drive of course.

"Daily year-round driver".

Really.

"Fast" is pretty realtive. Fast enough past the 4WD's in the ditches, that's for sure.

Well, when I was driving a Camaro during the winter (that was 2 years ago, now I've got my '94 S10 Blazer), I didn't have much trouble at all. The key to that is the fact that it is a 2.8L with a 5-speed though. With studded snow tires and 160lb. of sand bags in the rear, I had no difficulties here in Montana. Snow, ice, whatever. Just took it easy and safe. Even did great in 2 feet of snow. The problem was when that 2 feet turned into 1 foot of slush (got a little warmer the next day). I was stuck in the driveway for 30 minutes, but finally made it out.

(Note - The Camaro in my signature is not the one that I speak of above. The one I speak of above is an '87 with near 240,000 miles on it now. The one in my signature is an '89 with a much younger 2.8L that has seen little winter driving. Due to that younger engine, the few times I had no choice but to use the '89 in the snow, it was not quite as cooperative as the '87.)

I don't drive in the snow.
I'll stay home, like I did this weekend.
Did run to the store in the Toyota, and all the roads were ice. I did try and move my Formula, but it got stuck where it was parked.

Drove mine in a few inches. It took some effort to get it out of a parking spot and hills were impossible. open rear with 10.5" tires were less than desirable lets say.. no traction at all times was a new feeling and on the back roads away from any traffic it was a blast!!! had to make a 20 min detour just to get to my house because I couldnt make it up a freaking hill... man that sucked.
then one night took 15 minutes to get out of my apartments.. wouldnt even move at first. that was my first time in the snow, last year.. glad I came back to FL, one winter and can see through passenger floor board ;(

I had the same issue when I had my 245/50r16 Kumho Supra 712's on the car. Horrible. I had to call my dad to leave work and come get me to drive me to my work. Couldn't make it up my driveway, etc.

Within 2 weeks (it didn't snow for a while then), I had bought a set of salad shooters, 2" wheel spacers for the front, and some 225/60r16 snow tires. Now the car is a beast in the snow. I've gone through both snow and slush since then without any issues at all unless I wanna
