Here's what really happened.
Shane removed his dizzy (see previous post) and can't get it back together.
Car won't run right.
Calls former GFs dad for help.
"Help me, the timing chain's broke!"
The guy comes over, takes out the radiator, twists a few bolts, rearranges the plug wires the way they're supposed to be.
Puts radiator back in.
Puts new timing set in his toolbox.
3hrs later...Starts engine, washes hands, collects $150, gets in car, drives away.

Which former GFs dad did the work?
Did you have him flown up from Fla?
Or do you already have 5 girlfriends in Missouri??? After living there for only about a month.
Exactly right...this guy has been giving the from day one and has been allowed to continue to waste everyones time and tgo's bandwidth with his stupid posts. I said from the beginning that it wasn't even his car to begin with and never was. He's a dreamer who overdoses on ritalin and needs attention to get high.

Maybe if I'm lucky, Shane will start dating my daughter, so I can have a chance to help him fix his car.

You're right.
I could end up being Shanes imaginary father in law.
Til he can't find an imaginary job and has to leave town and move back with his mom.
Then I'll not only have to help him fix his imaginary car, but I'll have to support his imaginary kid.

I've said it before, will somebody to go to this kids house and break his keyboard. Also if there is time find his car keys and throw them into a large body of water (preferably very deep).

He could knock 2 things off RD's list at once, if he gets the 454 blocks and puts them both in the trunk he could help his chances of pulling the front wheels of the ground.

z28kindaguy, Thats a great article on the oil filters. Thanks for pasting it. My friend told me that they were bad a while back(fram), so I stopped using them. He and many other people had witnessed the filter expand on the engine dyno too. That info. was enough to sell me on the idea to stay away. I use Moroso now. ...Tom

Finally, some people have re-started the "IBTL" stuff from about two years ago. If you are adding nothing to the thread, don't post. Simply saying "this will be locked" adds nothing. While many here are quick to inform a poster that their thread will be locked, very few actually click the "Report this post" link to bring it to our attention quicker. We cannot be on the boards all the time, therefore reporting the post helps us a great deal.

Well...so are mine and Pasky's comments now too...but might as well say it anyways. Our posts are to inform you of the rules

That line is completely off-topic. In fact, it doesn't even have anything to do with the off-topic topic we've gotten onto which was off-topic in the first place.

Now I understand. Every post on this thread except mine is very informative. I should be the reason for the lock on this educational , informative column. I wish to retract my earlier statement as it was very foolish. It is very important to me that I be accepted on this forum. Please accept my humblest apologies!
