crazy engine
hey whenever i start my car or rev the dipstick finds its way loose and oil will shoot right out of it. i mean a lot of oil. Is this normal for all that oil to come out and does any one know of a way to keep the stick in there? Also the oil cap on the valve cover smelled kinda gassy. Could this be a sign of blow by syndrom, and it also steams a lot from there, would that mean i need to cut the rubber stoppy a little more to let it breathe or what? anyone with expertise on these issues i would be greatful for ur input.

The PCV valve on your car is not operational. That is why your oil cap smells gassy, the PCV valve is supposed to vent those "gassy" fumes, but if it's not working then it will do crazy things like shoot your oil dipstick out because of how much pressure the gas fumes have created.
You need a new PCV Valve, that will solve your problem, and luckily for you, it's seriously only 2 - 3 dollars at your local parts store. If you dont know where to find it in there, the guys there should be able to tell you. Plus, it's a 20 second replacement part.
