IROC People, Does this look fruity?

Looks like an IROC. No stickers and Look at that spoiler...?

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...=14227&search_

I ONLY Want a 5.7 IROC. So if the VIN# Has a "8" for the 8th digit and the rpo code says L98, Its a 5.7 350 IROC Right?

Just dont wanna get jipped

Looks like an IROC that either had the decals removed or was repainted, and a high rise spoiler from a 91-92 Z28. In answer to your question, Yes.

Some IROCs were available with the Decal/Stripe package delete. I was going to buy one with a 350 and 45,000 miles for 4 grand....but I found out it had just sat for 8 years. It didn't have the IROC decal package, and it wasn't a repaint at all.

IMO the best thing one could do is remove all those decals. That was the first thing I did to mine waaaay back in Aug '90 when I bought mine. As far as the wing goes...that is why I bought a '90 rather than a '91.

Just make sure the original engine is in there. The VIN only states what happened at the factory, not what happened over the last 10 to 20 years.

The ad doesn't say IROC, only Camaro...it may be Camaro with the '91-92 hood (those are hood blisters, I can't see it well enough?) and spoiler and IROC ground effects.

I'd think if it were a IROC, the ad would say so...unless I missed it somewhere?

From the picture, I can see that it has:
-85-87 IROC-Z rims
-IROC-Z louvered hood
-IROC-Z ground FX
-IROC-Z front fascia w/ IROC grill
-IROC-Z foglights
-91/92 Z28 Aerowing

With this in mind, it would make sense that it is probably an IROC minus the decals plus the spoiler. If that was a base model Camaro, not only would he have to had changed the wing, but everythign else on that list above as well. I'd venture to guess that it is an IROC just from the pic.
