Hey guys, after alot of budgeting i decided to settle on an L05 engine swap, heres what i have so far:
Goodwrench L05
H.O. Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner
Edelbrock A.I.R. headers
Flowmaster 2 1/2 inch
MSD 6Al with rev limited + cap and roter
High Flow Cat
3.43 Gears w/Limited Slip
Goodwrench 700r4 w/corvette servo + B-Body kit
how much horsepower do you think i will produce through this? i was originally going to go with a v6 buick turbo set up, but tonight my friend drove my car over a train track
I don't know how much damage there is, but i can hear a clunk when doing quick turns and my right hand axle shock mount is bent, so more money will probably be spent fixing suspension, we'll see when it's on the rack at work on monday.

I don't see anything in there that will "increase" its power above what it's "rated" at. In fact, with the small headers and accessories and all that like a motor has once it's put into a car, it'll probably have about the same power that a L05 would have in a car or truck (210 HP IIRC), plus maybe 10 or 15 from the headers.
So my guess would be, 220 HP after installation. 170 at the wheels.
A "rev limiter" is a total waste of money for that motor. It already has 2 very effective ones: the cam, and the heads. If you don't already have that 6AL, don't bother, it will accomplish nothing.
Sounds to me like your rear dragged on the track, and probably bent the housing. Just get another rear. About the only other thing likely to be harmed would be the shock itself, or the lower control arm. If you haven't put shocks on it lately, it needed them anyway; and aftermarket rear LCAs that are far superior to factory ones, are less than $100. I doubt you'll run up too much of a tab fixing all that. Just go to the junkyard and get a rear out of a 90-92 6-cyl 5-spd Camaro or Firebird; you might be able to get one that way that already has 3.42 gears in it.
