Cam Choice.
Im almost about to start putting my car all back together, with just a few loose ends hanging around. One is the Cam choice, ive narrowed it down to the ZZ4 and the LT4 hotcam (price and the like). Im not sure really which is a better cam, looking to still drive my car every day, its a 350 TPI, and will either cam need a new PROM in the computer? Ive searched before but could never really find anything definate. Thanks!

If you are asking if the car will run well and strong with minimal or no drivability issues, then yes they will both be fine in your mass air car. You will likely get many replies that say you NEED to tune it. My past experience proves my earlier statement. If you are looking for perfect drivability and every thousanth of a second in the et department then I would say tune it. My advise is try it. I bet you will be satisied with stock prom.

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to know if I could do, just put it all back in and drive it. I can always tune it later down the road, as there are still more things I want to do. Im still a bit stuck between the 2 cams though, I remember you told me once that the ZZ4 was a nice cam to use, but I found the LT4 one on the parts site and was wondering about it also. Thanks for the info Floorguy.

Both are good, inexpensive choices. If seat of the pants and overall fun are the plan you can not go wrong with either. I am an old fashioned kind of guy, therefore "I" prefer the zz4 as it served us well many times.

I'd look for a better cam choice it was me. Look at some Comp Cams Extreme Energy TPI/EFI grinds.
