replacing leaky head gaskets and need recomendations.
saw some differing kinds on summit page but all of them say they are for 305 and 350.
is this possible to put a 4.060" gasket on the 305?? or do they all just work the same?

and what brand of intake gaskets do ya'll use.

thanks for any and all recomendations.
James.

88,

Yes, the gaskets are interchangeable. There are only a few exceptions, but otherwise the bore siszes of most common SBC head gaskets are the same size. Most of then can be used on 400 CID SBCs at close to stock bores. There are some specials for bored 400s.

Fel Pro has reliable gaskets, and so deos the GM parts counter. Gaskets are one item that you will generally find cheaper at the dealer, and they are not reduced quality. I get rebuild set for about $100.00 less at the dealer (Fel Pro, $288.00, GM $193.00 for LT1/4 engines).
