engine hesitates when warm, runs fine when cold...
I have an 89 iroc with a rebuilt engine now 355.
When the engine is at operating temp and you slowly rev the engine up it is fine, but if you take a quick jab at the accelerator it will hesistate for a sec, then rev up. When the engine is cold, it runs fine except for the code 32 it shows me every morning. Brand new egr valve and solenoid and it still gives me that code?..
Anyone have any thoughts to share with me?
Thanks
Steve
Btw, most of the engine sensors have been replaced, cts, iac, mat, knock, sensors in the head, tps... I think even the esc was replaced last year, not quite sure though.

for the EGR code, MAF cars have a temperature sensor on the EGR valve itself. If you're getting a code 32 in the morning while you're still cold, either that or perhaps the EGR solenoid is bad. It isn't failing a functional test when the engine is cold, so it is failing a hardware test.
As to the hesitation when warm, you mention a 355, was this car always a 350. If not, perhaps your calibration is off enogh to give you trouble. My next guess either way would be your CTS is bad. I know you said you just replaced it, but getting a bad sensor out of the box is not uncommon. Other than that i can't think of anything else temp dependendent that would make a significant effect on driveability like that.

Now that i think of it, we soddered (sp?) the wire back into that sensor that screws into the egr valve, pretty sure that is the reason for the code 32.
The car was a 350 prior to this winter. Is there anyway to check the CTS with out a scanner?
