Firebird LT1 intake air filter pics.

I've recently swapped my car over to speed density. Now that I am looking to get rid of my 'cold air intake', I need to find out how some other people have done their setups.

I am looking for something in the most basic sense, an air filter and maybe a silicone type tube that connects the filter to the engine.

I have been scouring the net and TGO for pics of such a setup, but I can't seem to find any. Does anyone have pics of LT1 swapped SBC's with their air intake setups?

Here is a pic of my current engine. If you notice how the intake is.. its pretty nasty. I am looking to clean that up a bit. I may have some clearance issues with the new filter because of how low the LT1 intake sits in the engine bay.

Have you thought about the ram-air boxes that hawk's sells?

Trickflow makes a nice elbow for the TB to intake tube.

Lol.. how did I know you were gonna chime in here Zepher. You got that tube off of a Mack tuck, but you are not sure which one. I do kinda like the tube though. I was looking for something a little simpler.

3.1 Eyecandy... cool.. give me a ring when you get down here, maybe we can have another mini thirdgen meet or something.

I talked to my friend who made it and it was from a mack truck but it isn't one piece. It is two or three pieces welded together, bondo'd smooth and then painted.

that is what I thought when I got it, he didn't tell me it was more than one piece until I asked him again about a year or so later.
