just paid to get headers coated.. did I get ripped off?
Well, for a while now, I've been debating whether to get my headers coated. I had originally intended on getting them painted and then wrapped. But I've heard that the paint will burn off, and header wraps can promote rusting, etc..etc..
So today, I decided to bite the bullet and get my headers and Y-pipe coated for $350 CANADIAN dollars after tax. What do you guys think? I realize that it's a lot more expensive than the paint/wrap method. But did I get ripped off? They told me that they'll blast the old paint off, chemically treat it, and then have them coated inside and out.
I've already read of the benefits of coating, wrapping, and painting.. just wanna get an opinion from you guys.. thanks!

That's about what I paid to get my supercomp headers coated.
Paint will always burn off and wrap isn't recommended since it will trap moisture and rot out the headers quicker than normal.
I don't even see any cars at the track with wrapped headers. The majority of the racers have them coated.
