Engine Machine Work In Progress
Engine Machine Work In Progress
Just wanted to know what you guys think about the prices, there is one thing that is not one there, and that is a port and polish for $400.
The shop is a high-performance shop, so it's not like it's a muffler slash everything mom-and pop kinda place.
Thanks,
-SuperchargedRS

Everything on there is more than what my shop charges. Mine does the cam bearings + freeze plugs for $40. But if their as good as you say, I suppose its not too bad. Mine will make clearance, put new bearings and assemble it for $450.

seems high But did not have the shop assemble the lower end and install. I see you did so labor is coming into play here. SOme stuff listed is lower than my shop but mostof it is higher. I am not getting a deal from the shop either ... ******
Thanks for the replys, I was somewhat concerned taht I payed too much but I guess it's not too bad, being that this is a nice shop (all the cars there were stingrays, 32's, sandrails etc). But that engine better kick *** when there done lol

200 bucks to check there own work on the clearances? I don't see it listed, but did they turn the crank? Regardless, they did resize the rods...why the heck would they charge you another 200 to check thier own work?
I see the invoice in from Ca., where abouts?

I agree with 8Mike9. Everything looks fine except the 200 for checking the clearances, How much will they charge for sweeping up the shavings from machine work?
Yea, I thought that looked a little funney, I will call them today and get that...fixed.
Also this is the shop

Dispite this little over-charge, it's a nice shop (especialy for the desert area)
