faster engine warmup...

faster engine warmup...

i have a stock L03, and when i start it up it idles around 1500 for about 4/5min before dropping down to around 800.

what can i do to have it warmup faster?

rev it up to 8000rpm, just kidding..

does your car still h ave the heat stove that comes from the exhaust manifold to the aircleaner? you might want to check and make sure that you have an airtight seal there so that all of the heat is going into your carb..

other than that, not really.. changing your thermostat won't help because temperatures will be too low..

you might be able to adjust your cold idle screw to idle the car at a lower rpm, like 1100-1200

i would assume it still has the heat stove, i just got my hands on it and i dont think any mods have been done yet

how would i check to make sure it is on tight/sealed?

just make sure that the aluminum heater tubing going from the stove to the aircleaner is in good shape, it may not be aluminum but that black fabric stuff with the coil embedded in it..

Its all part of the eprom. You can adjust the Idle Speed Vs Coolant Temp inside the eprom.
