If you try to measure cam lifter lift using a hydraulic lifter you'll get inaccurate readings. ( cause the internal plunger compresses) Either us a solid lifter while degreeing or set the dial indicator up to read off the edge of the lifter body.

Time for a new balancer. Go by the dial indicator, and forget about the balancer for now. At least for degreeing in the cam. If your balancer comes apart going down the road it WILL do some damage. Also if you're using an 8" degree wheel , it may not degree at the specs. Comp Cam figures is for a 12" degree wheel.

Oh, I just would like someone's opinion on this....."we" used a flat tappet to check for lift....I know now that I should have put one of the stock Rollor tapets back inthere for the measurment....Would this cause the false readings?? thanks GTA...
