Series of random questions
1. How do I set up the electric choke on a TBI-to-carb swap for an Edelbrock 1406 (carter style)?
2. When I pull the linkage back, does the Edelbrock 1406 open completely, or do the secondaries come open with more vacuum? The secondary flap barely opens, and cannot move any further when the primary butterflies are open all the way. I can take video to show anyone if they would like to see. The carb is brand new out of the box.
3. How do you pull a motor that's locked up? Do I have to take the tranny out with it?

#2. I'm not familiar with the Edelbrock 1406, but a Carter AFB needs vacuumn for the secondaries to operate.
#1. Electric choke power should be run from either the alternator controlled relay or the aux oil pressure switch. That way, it will only power when the engine is running, not just when the ignition is on.

No, but you should be worried if the choke doesn't start to open shortly after starting.

Put the studs in the throttle arm and connect the cables. Make sure you check your TV cable geometry and do whatever you have to do to make it right.

Your local speed shop will have the studs you need, or you can take them off your factory throttle arm.
