pushrod length
Not be to be a pain but just trying to expand my knowledge. What is the importance of having the correct push rod length? I mean what are the signs / results of a pushrod thats too short?...too long? Is there a mathematical formula for this or is the only way to find out is by using a measuring tool? Im just curious as Ive gone to a new cam and wanted to know if I needed new pushrods. New cam is 08-305-8 and was using stock length pushrods before. Thanks for any info.

you can get pushrods .100 longer so it extends it almost like getting 1.7 ratio rockers from a 1.5 i believe. maybe wrong tho

Using the correct length pushrod will give you the correct valve lift. Using the wrong length will give you reduced valve lift, at best, and broken parts at worst.
