Here's at the end of the teardown day!

cam swap in car????
Wow. Almost anything is possible but may I ask why?
I cannot imagine swapping cams "in car" unless there's a major urgency. Like at the track in between races or qualifying or test days.
In a use street motor/daly driver situation swapping a cam on a used motor where the valve seals and lifters have a certain set is rather a risky venture (Unless of course you are performing major conversions of heads, lifters, springs, etc.).
If I were doing such extensive mods I would want to pull the motor and go over many other details and take my time.
Good luck and take care!

Why not? Its the same amount of work, really less actually. Though it does take more time to do it in the car because you have to work around the engine bay. And tightening headers may be more difficult.

why would i have to retighten my headers for
im not taking off the heads. im doin it in the car as i have my spare engine on my stand and i dont want to take it off. also if i do it in the car its gonna make me finish the job in a given amt of time of about 2days unlike if i do it on the stand i might leave it there for a month or 2. im only doing a cam lifter pushrod swap. if iwere to do the springs i would have to take off the heads as my tool requires me to do so.

In my last post I was talking about a head/cam/intake swap which would require removing manifiolds/headers.
