Another Help my car wont start post
i took my car out the other day because i finally had good weather. it ran pretty good and i did some maintnance to her and like everyone does i started to rag on it. well eventually i stoped and saw some people i knew that convinced me to do some burn outs. with my 295s on the back the car never wants to let go but i made it and the car started bouncing bad. when i stoped i started to hear a knocking noise but i think it is coming from my loose power steering pump. the problem is now when i shut the car off to check things it wouldnt start back up. i had my buddy push start me and it ran fine except for the noise. so i limped home to diagnose the problem and was looking around and had to shut the car off to adjust the power steering pump. well again it wont start. the battery is fine. although my choke light has been coming on lately but just flashing here and there. the car wont even turn over. it feels like it is a clutch sensor or something. considering how much of a shock my driveline just recieved and the fact that my clutch seems like it may be starting to act up this was all i could come up with. maybe it isnt disenganging enough or something. sorry for the long post

well i got it to start today with a little playing with that assembly the clutch connects too. there is a plastic piece that touches another when the clutch is pressed and i believe it was not connecting. i think this is what was keeping the car from starting. is this a common problem. well all in all i guess it really doesnt matter because after i took the car out a fox body 5.0 decided he wanted to play and after i started to go i went to shift into second and my trans just blew. no more second gear. So i guess a t-56 is in the works. i knew it would happen eventually but i didnt expect it now.

your problem
that is your neutral safety switch. won't start unless it's pushed in and makes contact. it's there so you can't start the car without depressing the cluch.
