can I convince anyone in the Norfolk/VA beach area to part with a nice 3rdgen?

I checked the classifieds and there's not much in there at the moment. My car '84 Trans Am was just stolen...(moment of silence)....so I'm not expecting to see it again. I would like to get something nice like a GTA or IROC or any V8 w/ a stick would be cool. I would like to get something nice, but what the heck, even if you have a "not so nice" third gen that you've considered parting with, but don't want to deal with test pilots and B.S. day dreamers to waste your time, let me know if you would get rid of it. in the rare event my car does show up,I would have a parts car.

Would you be willing to travel to Northern Va or meet half way? I have an '89 IROC with a rebuilt tranny and a Jasper stock replacement motor. The true mileage is unkown but it has one-year-old paint and the interior looks nice. The car's not really for sale but I would consider dumping it if the right Mustang came along within the next couple of weeks before I throw money into the IROC. Let me know what'cha think...

Humm.. I just bought mine, http://y42.photos.yahoo.com/bc/godzi...Camaro&.view=t

I dunno if I could part with it. However I live in Virginia Beach, and there are alot of F-bodies for sale around here. Just go grab the autotrader. When you find one we'll hang.

I just couldn't part with mine unless I had a good offer.

Oh great... this is what I have to look forward to when I move down there?
Just curious - where was yours stolen from? Did you have any "anti-theft" devices in it?

cool,I think I saw that '84 Z28 in the trading post.

my car was parked at 104 L street in Georgetown area D.C. (not a good nieghborhood) it's not the best nieghborhood to start with, everyones car (all nicer than mine) was molested in some way shape or form, mine was the only one stolen on that street. foolishly I had not used any anti theft devices besides locking up. after putting in my B&M mega shifter,I couldn't do the "free" shifter lock anymore. my rear glass was smashed out and a piece of was left on the street to let me know what happened. I should be in tears right now,but it makes no sense to get too upset over it. lesson # one : don't park in shady places (no matter who else parks there)
lesson # two : ANTITHEFT that ****!! pull the "C" clip out of the auto stick,so the **** can be removed anytime to pull out the plastic rod that pushes the saftey in the shifter out. hook up a toggle in series with the blue wire on the neutral saftey switch, hide the switch. disconnect the + lead from the distributer. many things you can do,for free. right now I wish I had lowjack $600 WELL SPENT. infact, anti theft should be the first mods, because once you put all your time and money into hooking up your ride, your going to need some anti theft.

Nah, its not in anything yet. It will be in autotrader come next week tho if the photo guy can find this place.

Id keep the car if i could, but inspections due on my other nearly restored car and I need the cash to finish detailing under the hood etc. Its been a year since its left the garage and thats 51 weeks too long.

Look in the trading post, They've always got like 10-15 camaro's and firebird's. I've noticed that they are usually cheaper then the ones found in the classifieds. Thats where I found mine. Bought it from a guy out in Greatbridge whose apartment smelled of alcohol 24/7,wasnt a good sign but besides bad paint(which is being remadied in about a week) was in good condition.
