Milkshake
So i got a massive milkshake on my new 383. After maybe 20mins of runtime, there was probably 7 quarts of fluid in the crankcase (2 quarts of water got in the oil)
So that suggests that this is not a "small" leak.
Pulled the heads, normal carbon deposits, head gasket looked ok. Statically, the water does not leak into the oil from the block.
No oil in the water.
And yes i am guilty of reusing the intake gasket (Felpro 1205) and not sealing the coolant ports.
Is this the most probable root cause? Or do i assemble the motor back together and do a leakdown test?

i had a problem that after about 300-500 miles after either pulling the heads or intake, the intake manifold bolts would untorque themselves just enough to cause a gap between the manifold and the gasket, causing oil to be sucked into the runners and coolant to leak into the lifter valley. after you torque the intake down and you run your car, i'd suggest you retorque your intake bolts after maybe 100 miles. some people say more, some people say less... just dont wait too long till it starts to leak again. the mr. gasket ultra seal is twice as thick as the felpro gaskets and since i switched from the 1205 to the ultra seals, i've never had a problem with leaks.
