350 plugs!!

My girlfriend just picked up a 70-something K10 pickup, with a 350 punched .040 over...Performer RPM intake, Edelbrock 650 carb....

So it's in rough shape and I'm trying to tune it up, but it needs plugs. It's got long-tube headers, and the plugs on it are AC Delco R45TS's (I THINK thats the number, its been a few days.)

Well the plugs are too long, and the plugwires are actually TOUCHING the headers, which is gonna destroy them reaaaal quick. So I need to know what kind of shorty plugs to buy for this sucker, but the Autozone guy wouldnt cross-reference for me.

I know this isn't a 350 TPI, and its pretty old...but Im hoping some of you guys have older 350's and know what I'm talking about. I've become a bit of a Ford guy so I don't really know.. Hell I just learned how to adjust the carburetor on this sucker yesterday...Im tryin to learn it up.

As far as I know it's stock heads....dont know the casting number...but I know the plugs are the small size...5/16ths I think.....and the threads are real, real short...they dont screw in far at all.

Can anyone help me out here? I'd hate to have to buy a new set of 90 degree plugwires for cap-in coil HEI, especially since the ones on here are already Taylors which I REALLY like.

I know they make short plugs but I dont know who exactly. You could allways use lawn mower plugs haha, jk.

If the guy at autozone wouldnt help you, goto murrys, thats why there is the competition

Bosche plugs are shorter and so are the Accel header plugs. You can get both at any auto store. I am pretty sure the rapid fires a bit shorter as well. Just take a collection of plugs at the parts store and buy the set that is the shortest.
