Maybe with 11:1 or better compression, a 383 or better ci and 3.73 or better gears.

Too big, and the 110 LSA will kill vacuum to the brakes.

Could be done in a very light car with a 350. Then again a mini-ram would be a better choice, even with more cubes.

That XR288HR is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too much cam for anything approaching a long-tube setup on a stock L98 long block. The cams that work best with the SR seem to be in the 218-224 intake duration range, with as much lift as possible; and it does no good to go larger unless you use heads that have some flow (NOT stock ones).

I helped out a friend with a 434 with Edlebrock RPM heads, a Haltech, and Accel Pro Ram, we put a XR282HR in it, and that was almost too much cam, in a much bigger motor than yours. And that of course was with a Haltech which is a whole lot easier to dial in than a stock computer. It ran great but was a bear to get to idle right and to behave at part throttle.

Here is where I got it at...

http://www.airflowresearch.com/chevy_dyno.htm

They made 500hp out of it. A 383 making over 500hp. Pretty damn impressive seeing as it's running only 9.4 compression...

The reason I asked... is it's Carbed I want fuel injection... but I don't think it would work the same.

So could it work on the stock prom... when running the Superram? Well, stock as in same one... but have been reprogrammed to try and take it?
