I was thinking of Vortec Head but hear there is work to be done so they will fit the 1.6 rockers.

afr 190's would be fine, but i'd say fast burn would be my choice. looked at the new jim pace cataloge and the new vortec bolt pattern intake is in there too.

The LT4 springs will not fit in the stock spring pocket of the Vortec's. It will need to be machined to accept a larger diameter spring.

correction on the vortec tpi intake, it is scroggins dickey. as for the heads, i don't have them but i've seen a few at the local track with them and they seem to be fairly impressive. the flow numbers are sure killer.

I have both the fastburns and the Hot cam on a zz430 clone in my 89. I havent been to the track so I cant tell you any numbers, but it is a sleeper on the street. The Idle is smooth at 750-800 rpms and motor pulls strong to about 6000. Ive never had AFR, but I think you would be happy with either the fastburns or the AFR.
