Anyone Know car alarms?

I want to adjust the sensitivity on my alarm. The guy told me to just come back. But its kinda far. These Directions look easy enough dont they?

Only thing I dont know is what/where the "Valet" Switch is.

Thanks

under the steering column, by your feet, pull down the cover...i think it's 6 bolts, there should be a main control module with a torx bit somewhere on the box. clockwise is more sensitive, counter reduces. chances are, the sensor which controls vibration will be mounted on the left side on bare metal.

Dont I have to use the remote to adjust sensitivity? All I see under the column is a box that says "Impact sensor" and it has no screws on it.

i guess i should ask what type of alarm it is. usually the remote will only deactivate and reactivate certain sensors such as vibration, height change, and glass but doesn't adjust sensitivity. you should have instructions with your alarm. i guess if you wanted to reduce sensitivity without an adjustment, you can change mounting positions for the sensor. if it's on metal, chances are it's quite sensitive, dismount and leave it hanging with the rest of the wires, you'll be covering them anyway.
i used to have mine set to where a single tap on the car would sound the warning, even a loud car driving by would set it off. finally, i had to break down and reduce it.

about your valet switch... this is just a normal switch usually mounted somewhere hidden. whoever installed yours might've left it out. i left mine out... how often do i use valet parking... no one drives my baby but me! this enables and disables the alarm and automatic shutdown yet still allows the remote to lock and unlock doors. if i remember correctly.

palestinians.... you're all dead
