Protecting Engine from elements(rain)
Right now my hood is off the car being repaired. My engine is in need of being tore down again fro the second time in a week. I need to pull the intake and heads.
However a problem exists. In the area i am in, right now its been raining for 6 days straight. I need to be able to protect my engine from water while the components are off.
How can i do it with things around the house?

Duct tape, garbage bags, WD-40 and if possible some sheet plastic
to make a 'hood' with. If you can't buy sheet plastic, use an old
blanket, but make sure you cover everything with the trash bags.

Battery is covered with a trash bag, Distributor, well what distributor, i have a rubber plus blocking that hole for now. Harness, well its perfectly ok, redoing the whole thing for my setup.
For the bores tho, what could i use to stopp corrosion and rain from getting in there?
I thught about wood, but that wouldn't be good. It just for like a week. But the amount of rain we;re getting it seems like it will rain for that much longer. I am not afriad to work in the rain, the more i work the sooner the car runs under its own power.
Has anyone found a way to cover the bored and intake valley?
