What do you call these, quick help please!

I broke 2 of those little black rings that are on the valve stem, but then i tried installing a spring, and it seated just fine and is being held just fine with hte keepers, will it hurt for the #1 cylinder to not have them? Can i just get them at autozone?

Were those little black rings made of rubber? If so I'd guess that they might be the valve stem oil seals? Otherwise I'm not sure what you're trying to describe.

Mark.

Valve stem seals. Get the umbrella seals from your parts store, made by Fel-Pro. I use the umbrella + o-ring (included in the Fel-Pro package). You can choose to not use the o-ring.

Hey. Im going to have to replace my valve seals soon and I wanted a little info on some. I was thinking about getting a set of Crane Cams Hi-Performance Teflon Valve stem seals. Is there anything special i should know about going with these or any reasons why or why not to get them? Theres also comp cams and fel-pro i could go with.
