Just use one of the wires from the stock coil (I think its the thicker pink one)that turn on with the ignition for your 12v and the white wire from the coil is your tach. That needs to go to the HEI distributor also thats it.FYI summit sells the power/tach wire pig tail connectors that fit the older HEI so you splice and plug in.

call the edelbrock tech line.even they will tell you the torker 2 is a pile of junk.if you plan on changing cams, the rpm is a nice manifold.if you are in emissions country, the performer is street legal everywhere.
a holley 650 is a great carb for a 350!rule of thumb(not etched in stone),vacuum secondary for auto trans, double pumper for standard trans(and if someone else pays for your gas)!actually you can get good(not great)mileage from a d/p if you keep your foot out of it.it's just not easy for me to do!
i got a remanufactured hei distributor from advance auto parts for $80,slapped an msd in cap coil and ignition module in it when $ permitted, and am VERY pleased with the stock appearing hei!
i must caution however,i have had trouble with remanufactured distributors from other parts stores.i went thru 4 just to get a good one for a chevy II many years ago!
E-man has the wiring correct
good luck!
