Throttle bracket for a Q-jet/700R4 combo...what year thirdgen for this combo?

I pulled my 305/TBI out and installed a 400sb switched to a Q-jet also. I still have a 700R4. I need the bracket for throttle cable, TV cable, and cruise control cable. If anyone has a gm part number for this piece let me know. I know some early thirdgens had a Q-jet and a 700r4 but exactly which year? This way the dealer can get me a part number in case no one here knows. Thanks

I believe that 84 through 87 offered the Carb/700 combo. Not sure about 83. I don't think the 700 was in the Fbody then. I'm gonna go check.

Edit: The Carb/700 combo was available from 83 to 87. Just go to the dealer and snag on e from 87 or whatever year suits you.

You can get one out of any vehicle with a 305 and a 700, which includes LG4 Caprices from the mid 80s, a far more plentiful thing in the boneyard; in fact, it may be that any GM V8 with a 700 would use the same bracket... I can't see why they couldn't.

So should my bracket from the 305 work as well? I will give it a shot. Has anyone else switched to carb with a 700-R4

I'm not very familiar with TBI, but the q-jet bracket mounts onto the intake manifold. I'd think you'd have more of a mismatch in the length of those cables; i.e., the distance from the bracket to the throttle shaft of a TBI being different than that on a q-jet. Certainly was the case in the days of 2bbl vs. 4bbl.

The TBI did come with a bracket for all three cables. It looks like a tower. It does bolt to the manifold. back drivers side. If all it needs is moved foward some to reach the new cables I should be able to make it work. I get my Q-jet back tommorow and I will go from there.
